I finally replaced the kitchen sink sprayer head that’s been degrading for months (years?). I’ve replaced it before with a standard common replacement (I think they’re designed to fail so you need to keep replacing them), but this time I researched a little and found what I really wanted, a higher-flow version. This Hibbent spray head also includes a high-pressure rinse “blade” mode—awesome. https://a.co/d/gGSDK57
To find a replacement for your faucet you’ll need to match the finish, size, fit, and threads to your existing faucet. For this one, I just guessed that the “brushed nickel” finish looked like the closest match to my faucet and it turned out a perfect color match. Though normally I would’ve expected my finish to be described as brushed stainless (nickel finishes tend to look a little yellower, in my experience), but they didn’t have a ‘stainless’ option and the picture looked more gray/silver than yellowish nickel to me. This head also included an array of thread adapters (15) to fit many different brands and sizes, so that made the matching process much easier—I just figured it would have one that fit my fairly common faucet and it did.
Pro tip — and the key feature here — it looks like the common flow rate for sink heads (to meet some kind of water saver regulations in certain places) is 1.8 gpm. This one comes with a 2.5 gpm option (based on the flow-restrictor insert), but it also happens to come with a gasket that’s exactly the same outer dimensions as that insert. One could theoretically use it in place of the flow restrictor and get an even higher rate, perhaps..? I don’t actually know if this nets you a higher than 2.5 gpm flow rate, but I can say that I’m spending half the time waiting to fill my coffee water pot or to fill water bottles. And the hot water delay from the water heater is about half what it used to be! Win!
